HubPages – Competitor to Squidoo
Earlier today on Software & Tools, I wrote about the closed beta of HubPages. Having a first glance looks like it is a competitor to Squidoo. I still will play with it more before I write more. I see that Michael from TechCrunch has already written about it.
I got to agree on commentor no. 10 (Klim) that the beta page that shows up when somebody goes the site could be a bit better seeing all the stuff going around with the use of AJAX. It looks so much 1990’s.

Where is Yahoo’s new Mail interface?

Sysinternals now a part of Microsoft Kingdom
Microsoft announced yesterday that they are buying Sysinternals a company ran by Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell. The first thing that came to my mind is “Wow, this will mean that we will have more free and cool tools to play with”. I have used few of the Sysinternals tools so far and am very happy with them and they for sure made my life easy from time to time.
Marm developed Rootkit Revealer which he then went on to reveal Sony’s incomprehensible use of a root kit against its own customers. Mark joins as a “Technical Fellow” at Microsoft. Looks like Mark’s site is loaded today as it is very slowly responding, but it’s still on so far. Mark writes about this news on his blog.
Congratulations to Mark and his new employer Microsoft.
Ironies of India
Looking at the picture below I have both laughed and stopped and worried for a while. I am from India and I know how difficult life can get there in the places where there is a problem of drinking water.
Google Domain list and expanding
Neil Patel has taken an initiative to create a list of all the domain names that Google owns. Wow, a long long list and many more to come along the way. He is missing some along the way and I see friends at Digg are helping him create a complete list.
I hope Neil makes an effort to constantly update this list if it is not too much to ask for ;).
Now can anyone be bothered to dig out a complete list of domains that Microsoft owns?
