Chris_Pratley’s OneNote WebLog : More OneNote 12 Goodness

Chris_Pratley’s OneNote WebLog : More OneNote 12 Goodness

Chris Pratley of Microsoft shows us some new features of upcoming Windows OneNote. Now I have been using OneNote since I got it and been loving it. Don’t get to use it as much as I want but use it consistently. I just like how easy it is to manage notes in it

Chris mentions about the following new features:-

  • Tables
  • Embedding Documents
  • Drag & Drop
  • Subpages get their own titles
  • Insta-search

Ok, as to my favorite feature from the above would be where I can give a subpage it’s own title. It is just going to be so good for me and I can make the best use of this feature the way I organise my notes. Followed by that feature will be the feature of drag and drop. Did I hear more than one Notebook! That’s going to be great as well. Now I can have one notebook for my personal stuff and one more my work related stuff.

Is there anything for syncronising the notebooks or sync. the sections yet? I miss that feature in OneNote.

Wired News: Can Bloggers Strike It Rich?

I don’t know but since last two days I am finding blogs and sites ( I promise I am not looking for them intentionally) that relate with blogging and earning money. Last night I found b5media and today I found an article from Wired News by Adam Penenberg. Adam talks about how much bloggers are paid for blogging these days especially on some of the famous blog like Gizmodo and Gawker. Interesting read!

I better start thinking about this! What am I doing to strike rich with blogging?

Updating the templates of this blog

IT Digest – Ingenious Tejas’ Digest

I was chatting to Darren of Problogger this morning when we started talking about Google ads on my site. So this prompted me to do some clean up. I was a bit tired of looking at my previous blog template as well so I thought of changing colors and so on. So here I am trying some new colors. So far it looks good :).

I want to try another template when I find a decent one.

Meebo-Active Desktop update

OK, have used Meebo Active Desktop feature for nearly 30 hours now. It is good and I like it but with one major problem and I think the problem is with Active Desktop feature. Every once in a while I see the Active Desktop page refreshing (Meebo Page) which logs me off from Meebo and I have to log on all again not forgetting that I have interruptions with my chat. The refresh occurs when I open videos, I change screen resolutions etc.

Any ideas or solutions?

Melbourne October Geek Dinner

OK, based on the responses so far, for the Melbourne Geek Dinner announcement, I am finalising the date of October 7th,2005. I yet to have finalise the venue, as most my geek friends helped me with the date but not with the venue.Remember guys, we are looking for a venue in the city somewhere, where we can all sit around and have fun. Availabity of vegeterian food is a must :). I am sure, we will finalise the venue details in a short time as well, but for sure it will be in the city somewhere.

Guys, let your mates know about this event and be sure to come! Let me know if you are coming so I can get your name tags ready.

Meebo as an active desktop

O0o. Pathfinder .o0O » Meebo as an active desktop

Meebo as an Active Desktop, what a good idea. I got it setup as an Active Desktop on my PC and is working fine for now. I don’t have to worry about checking my Firefox browser every while now while I am not browsing the Internet.

Hey Guys (Meebo Developers), what about some kind of notification when new messages arrive. I tend to forget that I don’t have my IM software ON while my friends are sending me messages on messages while I am logged in Meebo.

Opera browser to become free

Internet News Article | Reuters.com

My past favourite browser Opera is becoming free now. Ah, finally they realised that they won’t be getting too many users buying a browser when there are so many browsers available in the market which are free and at the best which are standards compliant as well. I think it’s a good move.

Opera 8.5 can be downloaded at http://www.opera.com/download/. Is Opera still the fastest or is it just my mind! Every time I use it I still think it’s better than others. Even my faster version of Firefox (Stipe version).
