Finding a Job with Your Blog

Finding a Job with Your Blog

Similar posts has been many times before too, but I got to remind myself and others again that with blogs becoming important in media and networking with others, they can definately talk about their blogs in their resume.

Could anybody tell us in what manner should be put down about our blog in our resume. At the moment I brag about my blog in ‘Other Activities’ section of my resume.

Blogs have been awesome for me so far. I have met people from different places around the world and around Melbourne due to my blog.  I can openly and freely talk to other fellow bloggers over MSN and Yahoo as I know who they are because of their blogs. I have many good people who are my friends now because of mine and their blogs. I am going to meet Anand from India soon as he comes  to Australia and that is due to blogs as well. Last week I met a Hare Krishna devotee from New Zealand and that was due to his blog as well. Blogs are a great networking tool for me.

So incase if you are interested in offering me a job, my email is on my blog ;).

7CM Blog: Why do you work from home?

Why do you work from home?

Some people have difficulty disciplining themselves to work when there is no boss “looking over their shoulder”,

I agree. People find it quite difficult to discipline themselves when working from home. But for people who can discipline themselves (like myself) I can get more work done from home rather than the office. I love having people around and interacting with them, but I think while we are at the office, there are phone calls, people coming to your desk for help/to talk/to joke. Then then there are people who want to drag you when they go to have a cigi. So I think if a person is given targets to meet, he can work quite productively from home.

I am loving linking to more posts now

If you have noticed, from last two or three days I am linking to more posts directly, thanks to Blogjet ( I am still trying it out). I am loving this tool and I am looking forward to their upcoming version which has the feature of cross posting.

Ah I still use Outlook along with Newsgator. Is there a plugin to post directly using Blogjet from Outlook? (Or is there a tool like this already in the market). The Outlook plugin which supports other blogging software does not support b2Evolution blogging engine yet. Can this be one of the features that can be considered for future or it is not feasible to build a feature like it.
