Good luck Moox

I have been using Community build of Firefox called Moox for a while now. The developer (whom we know by Moox) is busy lately and offers his appologies for that. Well Moox, wish you good luck with your professional career and see you in action soon. I love using your version of Firefox.

Gmail Account locked

Don’t know why, but my Gmail account got locked today and the reason giving was “unusual usage”!. Gmail guys, I did not do any unusual usage, infact I got very less email today compared to what I get at some other days and I did sent out very few mail as well :). I think giving your users some kind of warning would be a great idea, seeing that some of your users may be relying on Gmail way too much! So do unlock it as soon as possible. Can’t wait without my Gmail email for 24 hours.

Update:- In less than an hour my account is unlocked. Looks like Firefox might be the suspect here, as it has the tendency to keep on refreshing the Gmail page when it’s open. In my case I think I left Gmail page open for more than couple of hours or so. I shall try better next time.

A good resource for ITIL

ITIL is becoming more and more well known as the days are passing. I see more people talking and knowing about ITIL.

“The ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) consists of 7 sets: Service Support; Service Delivery; Planning to Implement Service Management; ICT Infrastructure Management; Applications Management; Security Management; The Business Perspective.”

Here is a good resource I found for ITIL related matters and it’s called Dr. ITIL.

Have you heard about ‘Scrap’?

Amit Agarwal taught me a new thing today that can be done using Microsoft word. It is called ‘Scrap’.

“You can create ‘scraps’ in Word, which are small blocks of text from a document. Highlight some text in an open document and drag it to the Desktop, and you will see it appear as a document scrap. You can arrange and rename your scraps on the Desktop, and simply drop them back into Word documents as you need them. The scraps can be pasted into most other applications too.”

I have to admit, that although I use Microsoft Office products a lot, perhaps I am not a very powerful user in learning tips and tricks for Office products ( I have learned few tricks lately though), tricks like this can save a lot of my time. I can ofcourse use this to create templates for my documents. Any other tip that I can use for creating templates?
