I am not jumping on Retweet.com bandwagon here, but just wanted to chime in that Retweet.com looks very much like Tweetmeme.com.
But while I was spending 3 minutes on each site, something jumped out of the screen onto me. Check the images below:
While looking at the home pages of both the site, I realized that there was one site common in the first 5 results and it was jmp2.net site. But total numbers of tweets do not tally up on both the sites. Retweet.com shows a total of 944 tweets for jmp2.net while Tweetmeme.com shows 1343 tweets. Which is accurate? Obviously algorithms are different.
What else did you find more interesting about these sites?
